As the secrets from their wartime past unfold, Juliet's growing attachment to the island, the book club and her affection for Dawsey will change the course of her life forever.

Watch Trailer

“While it's mainly a love story, it's also an act of homage to the stimulation and consolation to be had from books.”

Sydney Morning Herald

“Buoyed by a reliably appealing star turn from James, this handsome tearjerker mostly sidesteps the tweeness of its title to become, somehow, both an old-fashioned romance and a detective story trumpeting gender equality.”
